ORCRIST has announced the addition of Goblin from the Norwegian band ISVIND on vocals, and Mane from DEFIXIO on guitars and bass as official line-up members.

ORCRIST is currently collaborating with DESEKRATOR's Tore Bratseth to release a split with the now legendary band OLD FUNERAL, a band which at various times included Varg Vikernes, Abbath and Demonaz in its ranks.

ISVIND MEMBER TO GUEST ON NEW ORCRIST ALBUM

Goblin (drums/bass/vocals), of cult Norwegian Black Metallers ISVIND, will contribute lyrics and vocals on three tracks of the new ORCRIST album, which is currently being recorded at the band's own studio in their hometown near Milan, Italy.

This will not be the first time the two bands have collaborated, having released a split 7" in 2003, although it will be the first time any of the members actually perform together. The music is being written by ORCRIST drummer Grav, guitarist Bhaal, and bass player Mattia Zero to Infinity, whilst lyrics for the remaining tracks will be written and performed by the band's own vocalist Ghosta. A label is being sought.

A band known for its traditional, Old School approach to Black Metal, ORCRIST intend to introduce a change of pace into the new album. Commented founder member and leader Grav: "We have written a slower song, which has received an excellent response from those who have heard it. I think we were all reluctant to try it initially, but we realised that it is not good for a band to remain static in its approach. We have progressed as writers and musicians, and the new material needed to reflect that. We will never, however, lose the "underground" ethos. It is too important to us, and equally so to our fans".

15 MARCH 2006

We are extraordinarily proud to announce that Orcrist and Norwegian Black Metal band Beastcraft. have closed a deal with Temple of Darkness Records to bring out a split 7” together. We are currently working on two brand new tracks that are colder and darker than ever before, whilst Beastcraft have called their side “Celebration of Christ’s Death”, which gives a pretty good indication of what you can expect!  Neither band has ever been known to compromise on their ideals when it comes to the true Black Metal sound, and this collaboration will be no exception.

Temple of Darkness Records is a relatively new label, based in Spain, but already they have signed bands such as Summoning, Ereshkigal, Cadaver, Voice of Hate, In Slaughter Natives - to name but a few.  That they are able to sign such respected names is due to Jose Luis and his complete dedication to the music he most admires.

See our
Links page for links to both Beastcraft and ToD websites.

An updated web site heralds a new era for Orcrist with the return of Bhaal and the release of two albums.
